Weekend Housekeeper in Knightsbridge

Our private clients, a busy (but delightful) young family with four children, based in a Knightsbridge townhouse, are seeking a highly organised and energetic housekeeper to join the team in this fast-paced and lively environment. As the house covers multiple floors, the role requires stamina!

The ideal candidate will be a confident communicator, able to liaise professionally with the family, the household office, contractors and vendors. You must be someone who naturally takes ownership of the role and the smooth running of the household, working collaboratively with the wider team while also managing your own responsibilities with autonomy.

 

Job Specification

• Maintain the property to the highest standards at all times and paying close attention to detail
• Daily cleaning and general upkeep of the property, ensuring more thorough cleaning is regularly carried out
• Laundry, ironing and wardrobe management
• Competent in how to clean/treat various materials and surfaces around the home. The family is committed to using chemical and plastic-free products
• Manage stock levels and ordering supplies as appropriate
• Household administration – placing orders, arranging returns
• Identifying and addressing maintenance issues – placing emergency callouts and assisting with basic troubleshooting
• Liaising with contractors and suppliers
• Assist the chefs in ensuring the kitchen remains spotless
• General household errands
• Provide informal food service and clear tables after meals
• Packing/unpacking when the principals travel
• Carry out deep cleaning of the property when the family is not in residence

Location: Knightsbridge (House move to St John’s Wood in early 2027)

Hours: Saturday & Sunday 9 am – 5 pm (16 hours per week)

Salary: £24 per hour / £19,968 annually

Start date: End of October, early November
